
When & Where
The home ground for Lismore Thistles Soccer Club is located at 191 Military Road, East Lismore.
Our facilities include two full-size playing fields, as well as a half-size pitch for training and MiniRoos games. Thistles Park, as it is colloquially known, also has amenities including a fully stocked canteen, a licensed bar and toilet facilities. The home and visiting team change rooms also include individual shower cubicles.

MiniRoos fixtures (ages 6 -11) are typically played on Saturday mornings.

Junior Mixed Competition fixtures (ages 12 - 16) are generally played on Saturday mornings, although some fixtures may be scheduled Friday night, Sunday morning (occasionally midweek night fixtures may be required)

Junior Girls Competition fixtures (ages 12 - 16) are generally played on Sunday mornings or Friday nights (occasionally midweek night fixtures may be required).

Senior Men typically play on a Saturday afternoon, however fixtures may also be scheduled on a Friday night or Sunday afternoon (occasionally midweek night fixtures may be required)

Senior Women typically play on a Sunday afternoon of Friday night (occasionally midweek night fixtures may be required).
Senior teams (men and women) train on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm.
Junior training will depend on coach and player availability.

Our Teams

Age 5-7 – Miniroos:
Miniroos play 4 v 4 using a size 3 ball on a small field for 2 x 20 min halves. There is no goalkeeper. For more information see the National Playing Formats & Rules.

Age 12 – Grade 12:
Grade 12’s play 11 v 11 including a goalkeeper using a size 4 ball on a full-sized field for 2 x 25 min halves. This is a competitive age group with a final series played based on points at the end of the season.

Age 15-16 – Grade 16:
Grade 16’s play 11 v 11 including a goalkeeper using a size 5 ball on a full-sized field for 2 x 35 min halves. This is a competitive age group with a final series played based on points at the end of the season.

Age 8-9 – MiniRoos:
Grade 8 play 7 v 7 including a goalkeeper using a size 3 ball on a ¼ sized field for 2 x 20min halves. For more information click see the National Playing Formats & Rules.

Age 13 – Grade 13:
grade 13’s play 11 v 11 including a goalkeeper using a size 4 ball on a full sized field for 2 x 30 min halves. This is a competitive age group with a final series played based on points at the end of the season.

Senior Men:
All age divisions play 11 v 11 including a goalkeeper using a size 5 ball on a full-sized field for 2 x 45 min halves. Our teams are graded based on ability. We welcome all players of all abilities.
