ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

October 14th, 2015

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Clubs Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 9th November, at the Clubhouse commencing at 7.30pm. Prior to this the Clubs Monthly Meeting will commence at 6.30pm. All members, players and parents are invited to attend and we look forward to your involvement for the 2016 season.

A number of members will not be standing for office again this season and the club needs parents and players to become involved with the operational side of the club. Whilst we are the largest club in Lismore and the 4th largest in the Zone, we only have a small core group of people running the club. Many of the positions do not require large amounts of time to be spent each week, and some only require work at the start of the season to get juniors organised. “YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOUR HELP”

If you are interested in taking on a position and require further information or wish to discuss what the position entails please contact Paul on 0419 639151.

Spectator Incident

August 18th, 2015

Recently the Committee of Lismore Thistles Soccer Club issued a 12 month ban on a spectator who yelled obscenities of a sexual nature and references at a player from a visiting club. This incident has put the club in the social media spotlight and has bought the club’s name into disrepute.

Lismore Thistles Soccer Club finds such behaviour absolutely unacceptable at all levels and we will not tolerate behaviour of this kind from any spectator, supporter, parent or player and we advise that the club has a zero tolerance approach to incidence such as these.

Lismore Thistles Soccer Club wishes to remind everyone of our Code of Conduct Policy which is available on our website, and the FFA Code of Conduct.

Lismore Thistles Soccer Club takes this opportunity to thank all the volunteers, members and players who work tirelessly for the club, our good name and reputation as the “Family Club”.
