Far Football lovers and committed club volunteers,

I am writing to you today to let you know about an exciting first for the Asia Pacific Football Institute – the Brisbane Roar Twilight Clinic set down for Friday evening 10th April 2015.

This clinic will be run under the Brisbane Roar Active program and is aimed at participation level, encouraging fun and basic skill development in players 5-12 years. We hope that a successful event will be a gate opener for a more a stronger relationship between our region and the Brisbane Roar club that will see Roar run camps and clinics of all ages and skill levels coming to our region.

The Roar will be utilising the world class, all weather pitch at the Asia Pacific Football Institute (APFI) to bring their popular twilight format to our region for the first time.

I have attached a copy of the Roar’s event ‘flyer’ along with a brief word document which I hoped could be added to your website as a news item. Your assistance in getting the word out would be greatly appreciated.

As many of you are aware the vision for the newly opened APFI is to create a football ‘centre’ – facilitating educational, encouraging participation and supporting the delivery of football in our region. In terms of education we hope to use the APFI facilities to attract a range of coaching opportunities and events for players, coaches, officials and all interested members of the football family that would not ordinarily be available in our area. To achieve that goal I am asking for your help in two ways:

  1. By distributing information on upcoming events and initiatives to your members and promoting events planned around your club;
  2. By engaging with me on events that have been run and events your would like to see. Through your feedback, ideas, input (and where warranted criticism) I hope we can build a football centre that adds to our football community in a meaningful way.

As with any privately run clinic or camp player insurance paid under club registration does not extend to cover the Roar clinic. However in recommending the Roar Twilight Clinic to you and your members I confirm that we have obtained copies of the Roar’s public liability insurance.

This clinic has been discussed with Football Far North Coast and they will be kept fully informed of all private camps and clinics run at the APFI.

Football Far North Coast endorses activities that promote football in the zone, notwithstanding that they are unable to formally ‘sanction’ activities of private operators or those existing without the express endorsement of Football Federation Australia. Participation at such events and activities are subject to the Terms and Conditions articulated by the promoters of the events.

Thank you for taking time to consider this event and I look forward to any feedback, advice or ideas you choose to offer.
